Appointing our production designer in April
We were very pleased to have received 38 candidates applying for the role of professional designer for our production. We will be interviewing eight candidates this month and hope to appoint our designer before the end of April.

What’s happening in May
Suzi is still busy researching and writing the play including interviewing local people, reading old newspapers and visiting the East Sussex Records Office, ‘The Keep’ in Lewis. She hopes to have a first draft of the script completed during May.

Also in May, Stephen, our director, will be giving a talk about site-specific theatre for the Mayfield Festival of Music and Arts on Saturday 5 May at St Dunstan’s Church, from 11am – 12pm – Find out more here.  This will not be a sit down and listen event – it will be interactive and fun, and will give you an understanding of how a non-theatre space can be used to greatest effect, when used in a site-specific performance.

This photo was taken during ‘Cyrano’ a production directed by Stephen and written by Suzi that was performed at the Weald and Downland Museum. Read more here.

Script development workshops in June
Don’t forget we will be running four script development workshops on Monday evenings in June. Actors won’t be needed for all four workshops, but if you can try and keep your Monday evenings in June free that would be really helpful.
