What else is planned
Over the next few months our writer, Suzi Hopkins, will be meeting with local people to gather ideas to develop the story for the play as well as carrying out research into local history sources. She plans to complete a first draft of the play by the end of May. Stephen and Suzi will also be liaising with musicians and filmmakers to explore how they will contribute.
There will be a further series of workshops to help develop the script each Monday in June and workshops to help make props and costumes planned for September and early October. The main rehearsals for the play will start on bank holiday Monday 27th August and run right up to the first performance on 24th October 2018. There will be 5 performances of the Community Play from 24th – 27th October, with 4 shows at 7.30pm and a special matinee performance on Saturday 27th October at 2.30pm
